Decreasing
price of oil has caused havoc in the budget of Iraq as the country is
not able to pay for all the ammunitions that is needed to beat the Militants of
Islamic State from large parts of the country that they are in control. These
are words from the Iraq’s prime Minister who was interviewed on Thursday by Ali
Jazeera.
Haider al-Abadi continued to say that Iraq has
requested the United states and its allies to defer the money that is needed to
be paid on ammunitions. With the oil income being responsible for 85 percent of
the country budget, the decrease in price of the few years that have passed has
been very bad for their country.
He continued to say “We are not ready to see the victory
of Islamic Militants because of failure of our budget and other problems”.
These were his words when he appeared before a news conference.
Abadi said that the government of Iraq has requested
forces who are working in Iraq to fight ISIS to accept the deferred in
what should be the payments for armaments.
He also said that U.S.A base Air force has accepted to transport several
weapons that have been taken from European countries to Iraq free of charge without having Iraq to
pay for the transportation fee.”I have also requested support from several
countries and they have noticed by call and we are getting back ups from
several countries that are willing to provide logistics support, ammunitions
and also soldiers to fight ISIS”Abadi said.
Assessing the
Iraq current condition,Kerry and Hammond
have asserted that the allied
forces have reduce the Islamic
state momentum of domination and taking
up several territories and putting them under their control.”Over 2000 airstrikes
have killed several thousands of fighters waging Jihad in Syria and Iraq and
they have made the militants to go back
several miles from the territory they had taken control of ”.Kerry said. He continued
to say that they are not going to pull out, they will get all the necessary
materials needed to take the war to the next level.
She also noted that U.S.A has provided the forces
with several armored vehicles that will be used to protect the troops from
bombs and IEDs that are used by the Islamic militants and this will ease the soldiers
movement.”U.S.A will also provide M-26
rifles that will be shipped very soon and also American Marines are training
several Iraqs brigades who will be used to take over the cities of Mosul and Fallujah to the government
control”
