Police in Uganda have arrested a
man who is of Somali origin but lives in Kenya and he
is suspected to be Ali Shabaab militant.This arrest came after police were
tipped by students that there was a suspicious man who is not a student in the school and he was taking photos In Ark
Hostel.Ugandan security have been on high alert after Garisssa
University was attacked that led to death of 148 innocent students.
Ugandan police spokesman told press that the terror suspect was undergoing interrogation.”We managed to find him with several pictures of the hostels and also a human head was in the photos.”
This suspect posed as a hawker over the weekend,
selling very expensive watches and colognes when we caught him.”Our interest is
to find out why was this guy interested so much with hostels to extent of
taking pictures. We are aware that terrorists are now interested with institutions
that offer education and this is evident after Kenyan Garissa attack” Police spokesman’s
added.
Ugandan Police on Friday they issued a
terror alert that Somalia based Jihad group,Ali Shabaab was planning to attack
Uganda because Ugandan soldiers are also
fighting Ali Shabaab in Uganda.
